The Europaeum Annual Lecture 2026 – “Building the Renewal and Resilience of Europe”
We are honoured to announce that the speaker at the 2026 Europaeum Annual Lecture will be the Rt Hon Lord Hague of Richmond, Chancellor of University of Oxford.
The Chancellor, a Trustee of the Europaeum, will be addressing the multiple economic, security and technological challenges that face Europe today. He will argue that the future of the UK remains closely bound to the fortunes of Europe as a whole, and will set out ideas for resilience and renewal in our continent. He will discuss the vital role in this of universities, whose soft power has never been more important, and make the case for enhancing their work together.
The lecture will take place at the Sheldonian on Wednesday 4 November, 5pm-6.30pm.
In-person attendees: To attend in person, please reserve a free ticket on the eventbrite website.
Online attendees: The lecture will be streamed live online on the Europaeum YouTube channel.
