SUMMARY:CEPS Ideas’ Lab
DESCRIPTION:Now in its second decade\, the CEPS annual Ideas Lab continues to be one of the most influential public policy events in Brussels. It brings together policy-makers\, researchers\, business leaders\, and civil society to debate the major challenges and opportunities facing Europeans via open\, forward-looking\, and interdisciplinary exchanges. Speakers include European Commissioners\, Members of the European Parliament\, ambassadors\, prominent academics\, and leaders of industry from across Europe and beyond. \nThe Europaeum intends to take a group of postgraduate scholars to the Lab where they will be able to engage with the more than 200 speakers and 800 participants. \n10 Europaeum Master’s and Doctoral students will attend this event in Brussels. \n

DESCRIPTION:Online Information Session – Monday 2 March 2026 \nFuture Leaders of Europe: The Europaeum Scholars’ Programme \nThe Programme Director\, Dr Tracey Sowerby will talk about the programme\, the admission process and answer any questions that prospective applicants or academics from Europaeum member universities might have. To attend this session\, please click on the registration link below: \n\n13.00 GMT / 14.00 CET\, Registration link\n\n_______________________________ \nThe Europaeum is pleased to invite applications for the 2026-27 cohort of the Future Leaders of Europe: the Europaeum Scholars’ Programme. This is a two-year policy and leadership course for the most talented\, energetic and committed doctoral candidates from within the Europaeum network – the people who will make a difference to Europe. It is multi-disciplinary\, multi-university\, and multi-locational and focuses on contemporary European policy. Entry is via open competition for around 30 places every other year. It is the flagship programme of the Europaeum. \n\n\nThe prime aim of the Programme is to engage academic thinking with policy making and to produce a new generation of leaders\, thinkers\, and researchers with the capacity to meet the cultural\, political and societal challenges facing Europe today. Scholars attend six modules and a conference over two years while studying for their existing doctoral degrees \nApplicants must be enrolled on a doctoral programme at one of the participating Europaeum universities AND be pursuing research related to Europe (broadly defined) in the Humanities or Social Sciences OR have very strong extra-curricular interests in European affairs. Each scholar is fully funded by a scholarship worth €12\,500 per annum for two years. This covers full accommodation\, food\, and tuition\, but does not provide a stipend. A maximum of 30 places are available. \n\n\n\n\n_______________________________
