Jenkins Scholarship Scheme – applications

The final deadline of mid-January is fast approaching for our highly prestigious Jenkins Scholars scheme – worth more than £13,000 each. Every year scholarships are awarded to the best applicants who wish to study for degrees in Humanities or Social Sciences, subjects close to Lord Jenkins own interests, at Europaeum-linked partner universities. Please note applications need to be made direct to Oxford’s Graduate Funding and Admissions office, before the official closing date in mid-January 2015. For the current academic year six new Jenkins Scholars have begun their studies at Europaeum-linked universities – including graduates from the Complutense, Madrid, Charles University, Prague, and from Helsinki coming to Oxford, while Oxford graduates will go to Helsinki, Paris-Sorbonne, and Charles in Prague (please see here for our press announcement). This scheme honours the former President of the European Commission and Chancellor of the University of Oxford, Lord (Roy) Jenkins, who was involved in supporting the founding of the Europaeum in the early 1990s.
