The Europaeum celebrates its 30th birthday –
and welcomes the launch of its Alumni Programme

We are delighted to be celebrating our 30th anniversary at Balliol College. Founded c1263, Balliol has a claim to be the oldest college in Oxford. Events get underway on Friday 30th Sepember with a reunion for C1 and C2 of the Scholars Programme. There will be plenty of time to meet up with old friends and make new connections before hearing from a speaker and enjoying dinner.
On Saturday 1st October we welcome rectors, senior academics, alumni and friends from across Europe to a full day’s programme of speakers and discussion culminating in formal dinner in Balliol’s illustrious Hall.
The launch of the Europaeum Alumni Programme
1st October also marks the official launch of our Alumni Programme. We look forward to meeting up again with alumni who attended one of our many programmes over the Europaeum’s 30 years. In the best tradition of the Europaeum, attendees will enjoy talks, discussions and networking events. The Alumni Programme will continue this new strand of activity, offering talks, interest groups, mentoring opportunities and more. Details to be unveiled at the launch!

There has been considerable interest in places so if you can’t attend we will offer your place to someone on the waiting list.

If you have attended a Europaeum event in the past and did not receive an invitation to apply for a place, this is likely to be because either we don’t have your current contact details or we don’t have your consent to contact you (as is now required by data protection legislation.) We do very much want to engage with all our former participants no matter how long ago you took a course, especially now that we are about to launch our new Alumni Programme.
