
Federico Di Persio is a PhD candidate in European Law at the University of Bologna, where he also works as Research Project Manager supporting the negotiation and management of EU-funded research and innovation projects. He holds a combined Bachelor’s and Master’s in Law (110/110 cum laude) from the University of Bologna, with a dissertation on the conceptualisation of vulnerability in international law, and a Master’s in Patient Engagement and Advocacy from the University of Pavia with a final work on the European Health Data Space. He has been a Visiting Research Scholar at the Human Rights Centre of Ghent University and completed an Erasmus+ year at the Université de Nantes. Beyond academia, Federico is deeply embedded in civic life: he has served as President of the Emilia-Romagna Environmental Commission of the Italian Alpine Club (CAI), as a board member of PLUS — an association promoting LGBT+ health — and currently lives in a co-housing community in Bologna. He speaks Italian, English, and French fluently.
