Meike Fernbach

Meike Fernbach is a doctoral candidate at the Central European University, where she researches the intersections of race, gender, and coloniality in modern Germany. Her PhD examines how white German women reproduced colonial relations and helped sustain narratives of national “innocence.” By undertaking a Foucauldian genealogy, she seeks to destabilize the normalization of whiteness and trace the (dis)continuities of colonial power in Germany today. She previously completed Master’s degrees in International Relations at the London School of Economics and the Central European University.
