Nathalie Koubayova

Nathalie is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism, Charles University in Prague. In her research, she investigates the effects of chatbot’s disclosure to the users in a text-based interface with an emphasis on the evaluation of different framings of the introduction of chatbot’s identity. Prior to beginning her PhD at Charles University, Nathalie completed a Research Master’s in Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam. In the past, she was a Blue Book Trainee at the Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic and interned at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in the Public Diplomacy Department. She has been involved with various NGOs where she volunteered as a tutor for socially disadvantaged kids and a teacher of the Czech language to foreigners. Alongside her PhD research, Nathalie is also a research assistant at the Czech Academy of Sciences at the Institute of Sociology.
