Content and approach
Foresight in European Security Policy will take place on zoom on February 23, and is open to the public. This panel, the final deferred session in the event, Foresight in the European Union: Key Applications (other panels held on December 1, 2022), looks at how strategic foresight has and should help European policymakers improve our anticipation of the future, in the key policy area of defence. The conference has been co-organized by the Europaeum, KU Leuven, and the College of Europe.

This conference will bring together eminent researchers and practitioners to explore the application of strategic foresight in European policymaking on security, with a view to assessing its use and effectiveness and drawing lessons for the future. Speakers include Diana Borcea, Antonio Missiroli, Jamie Shea and others.
Who can register
This event is open to the public. We particularly invite master’s and doctoral students from within the Europaeum network who have interest in the application of foresight and the policy fields related to security.
Please note that attending this conference does not make participants eligible for the Europaeum alumni network as the process of registration is non-competitive.
