We are pleased to announce the launch of a new opportunity for alumni of the Scholars’ Programme. Our new minigrants scheme aims to build cooperation across the former cohorts of Scholars and further the goals of the Programme. We hope to encourage our alumni to continue to work together across Europe to think about the challenges facing Europe today and how to tackle them.
We welcome applications for projects that bring together former Scholars to pursue policy research, build capacity, or otherwise aim to build a better Europe for all. We encourage creative projects that could take the form of research cooperation, policy workshops, training sessions, or other activities. Projects may build upon group projects completed while on the Programme or may be new projects on unrelated areas. Not all participants in the project need to be Scholar alumni, but Scholar alumni must be the driving force behind it.
Up to three awards will be made in this inaugural cycle of the scheme. Applications may be for up to €10,000, but projects in the region of €3,000–5,000 Euro are more likely to be successful.
Eligibility
All proposed projects must:
- include alumni from at least two cohorts (this can include teaching fellows).
- Include alumni from more than one member university.
- Must be a policy project, or a project that furthers our goals of better leadership and working towards a better, more responsible Europe for all.
Any queries should be addressed to the Programme Director, Tracey Sowerby scholarsprogramme.director@europaeum.ox.ac.uk
How to apply
Applications should be sent, as a single file, to applications@europaeum.org by midnight on 2 January 2026. Applications should comprise:
