We are delighted to announce that the speaker at the 2026 Europaeum Annual Lecture will be the Rt Hon Lord Hague of Richmond, the Chancellor of the University of Oxford.

He will argue that the future of the UK remains closely bound to the fortunes of Europe as a whole, and will set out ideas for resilience and renewal in our continent. He will discuss the vital role in this of universities, whose soft power has never been more important, and make the case for enhancing their work together.

The lecture will take place at the Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford on Wednesday 4 November, 5pm-6.30pm.
